Practising engineers and Industry newcomers who wish to become familiar with the philosophy behind the modern UK ESI, the technical and legal need for a Grid Code at the transmission interface and other related information & documents required for an open market in electricity.
To provide a sound appreciation of the implications of Third Party Access to a Transmission network, the development of the Grid Code, the role of the Regulator, licensing and the concept of use of System & Connection Agreements.
Course delivery will be by lectures in an interactive environment
As each topic is covered the underlying philosophy and, engineering and procedural issues, will be explored in a practical and participative manner.
