Practising Engineers and industry newcomers who wish to become familiar with the philosophy behind the modern ESI, the technical and legal need for a Distribution Code at the transmission interface and other related information and documents for an open market in electricity.
To provide a sound appreciation of the implications of Third Party Access to a Distribution network the development of the Distribution Code, the role of the Regulator, licensing and the concept and use of System and Connection Agreements. To increase participants awareness of these documents and day to day engineering issues ensuring compliance.
As each topic is covered the underlying philosophy and, engineering and procedural issues, will be explored in a practical and participative manner.
Course delivery will be by lectures in an interactive environment aided by demonstrations and delegate exercises.
Depending on the target audience, and emphasis required, the delivery will be split between industry based and academic presenters.
